Frequently asked questions about nap mats

It's time to prepare for a new life starting in spring.
We have received positive feedback every year, and we feel like we have suddenly seen an increase in inquiries and orders for Nemuriya's nap futons.
This year seems to be moving a little faster than usual, perhaps due to the impact of COVID-19.

● Sleep Shop's nap futon celebrates its 30th anniversary ●

"Sleeping House's Nap Mattress" began as a result of a relationship with a certain nursery school.
Every year, we receive a variety of opinions from nursery school teachers and parents, and through trial and error, we are approaching our 30th anniversary this year.

Thanks to you, we receive many referrals and inquiries every year, and our business is expanding little by little.
Last year, we were able to build a new factory through crowdfunding, and now we have a quality and lineup that is incomparable to what we had 30 years ago.

● Popular filling "100% cotton" ●

Nap blankets come in three types of filling: 100% cotton, blended cotton, and anti-mite polyester.
You can choose the filling material to suit your child's constitution, but many customers choose "100% cotton."

The key points of "100% cotton" can be summarized as follows.

- Made from natural materials, it has excellent moisture absorption and dissipation properties

・Excellent sleeping comfort

- Easier to crush than other cotton

Every material has its advantages and disadvantages.
The best things about 100% cotton are its comfortability to sleep on and its breathable, comfortable environment.

Made from 100% natural materials, it is free from the "unsettling" feeling that is typical of synthetic fibers.
Children can also sleep soundly and stress-free.
It also effectively absorbs and releases moisture that builds up during naps, making it an excellent material that you can use with confidence.

Although this product is made of 100% cotton, which is a very high-quality material, we often receive questions like the following from customers who use it.

What are these black bumps?●

The raw material for cotton is the white fluff that comes out after the cotton plant bursts.

This cotton is picked and processed by machine into cotton so that it can be used as bedding, but a very small amount of the brown outer skin (the cotton husk) remains inside the cotton.

When this cotton is put into a plain futon, it appears as black bumps, which some people mistake for dirt or mold.

Since they are originally the same cotton, they are not particularly harmful.

I can fully understand your feelings of anxiety.
It's not a very pleasant feeling to see something faintly black peeking through the fabric.

Because it is a natural material, we are concerned that there can be years when there is a lot of cotton husks, depending on the crop yield and how the work is done.

Still, I think it's well worth choosing a material that can breathe well.
