This time, we will show you an example of a futon being re-stuffed. The single-sized futon that we received from a customer was being used on a bunk bed.
For this re-weaving, we used uneven cotton fabric and had it newly tailored.
Cotton futons made with this type of fabric are not very common, so some people may be interested in them.

Speaking of cotton futon patterns

When you think of traditional cotton futons, what patterns come to mind?

Many people may imagine Japanese-style floral patterns such as plum blossoms. Cotton futons, which are deeply rooted in Japanese culture, often feature traditional floral patterns.

But what if there were designs other than Japanese-style floral patterns?
Are there any of you who would like to create your own cotton futon with a pattern that is different from everyone else's?

About the items we store

Condition of the mattress

We received two single-sized beds and one semi-double-sized bed.
All of the filling was cotton that could easily be refilled, and was in good condition with almost no dirt or impurities.

Use with bunk beds

The guest used a single cotton futon on the bunk bed.
Therefore, single-size cotton futons are made to fit the inside dimensions of the bunk bed frame. By making them slightly larger than the inside dimensions, we have devised a way to prevent gaps between the frame and the cotton futon.
The finished product coincidentally is 100 x 200cm, the same size as a standard single bed, but we can also make it in any size you want to suit the sleeping environment of each household.
