Hello everyone, this is Kanauchi Kaito from Sleep Shop. This time, I will introduce a case where a futon was re-stuffed.
Usually, we remake the same size to the same size, but this time, we remade it down from a semi-double size to a single size. I will tell you the details, so please read to the end.

Common problems with the size of cotton futons

Are you worried about the size of your current cotton futon, whether it's too small or too big? If it's too small, you won't be able to turn over properly, and if it's too big, it'll be heavy and difficult to carry around, which can be stressful in many different situations.

In such cases, one way to solve the problem is to have the futon re-stuffed to change the size. This kills two birds with one stone and results in a more comfortable futon, as you can re-make the futon to a size that suits your lifestyle and also restore the volume of the filling.

Condition of the mattress

The futon we received this time was a semi-double size.
The filling was a mixture of synthetic fibers, but it also contained a good amount of cotton.
Although it had become quite crushed and thin, the quality of the cotton was good and it was possible to re-stuff it.
When the size is larger than single, there will be seams in the fabric due to the width of the fabric. This futon also has seams, as shown by the arrow in the second photo below.

Pattern matching

The futon we received did not have a matching pattern.
The fact that the patterns do not match does not pose any functional problems, but it does affect the appearance.

Depending on the design (or customer request), we sew the pattern together precisely.
