Until now, Nemuriya only offered the standard type of nap futons for nurseries. Even though they are the standard type, they are thicker than those sold at mass retailers. Of course, they are comfortable to nap on, but there was an area that needed improvement. As children continue to use the futon, they grow and their bodies get bigger, but the futon gradually gets crushed and worn out. Also, even children of the same age have different physiques, so it is difficult to provide a comfortable sleeping experience for all children with just the standard type.
The " increased volume type " was created to solve this problem.
Nemuriya's nap futons are not mass-produced in a factory, but are carefully made one by one by skilled craftsmen after receiving an order. We often hear people say, "Isn't the regular type thick enough?" Indeed, the nap futon is fluffy and thick right after purchase. However, have you ever imagined what it would be like if you used it every day for a year?
In fact, the thickness of a nap mat will decrease by about one-third on average after one year of use . As the years go by, it may become less comfortable to sleep on and may not be able to take a nap comfortably. You can ask your child to endure the use of the mat, but sleeping is very important for the growth of small children. If possible, you want your child to be able to take a nap comfortably and without stress.
For this reason, Nemuriya recommends using the "extra large" nap mat for nursery school, which is thicker and more durable, if you plan to use it for more than three years .

Even among kindergarten children, there are various body sizes and growth rates. The extra-large type is thick and durable, so it can provide firm support for even the largest children.

Things to know when choosing a nap mat
You can't add cotton midway.
Nap futons for nursery schools cannot have new cotton added to them even if the cotton wears out during use. The reason is that the thickness of the cotton is made by layering many thin layers of cotton like a mille-feuille. Due to the structure of the nap futon, it is not possible to add more cotton later. In order to restore the cotton of a futon that has become flat and crushed to a new state, it is necessary to either remake it (re-stuff it) or buy a new one midway through the process.
To avoid regretting it later, thinking "I should have bought the extra-large size after all...", it's best to choose the extra-large size from the start.
It can be re-cast and reused
It is also possible to re-stuff a nap futon used by an older brother at nursery school so that a younger brother can use it.
The fabric will be replaced with a new one and the filling will be restored to a fluffy state, so it will be reborn as a nap futon like new. We can also make it to the size of the next child by increasing or decreasing the filling, or making it larger or smaller.
